Judging from the response of this New Yorker’s soundcloud preview, big things are on the horizon for Gosteffects. The preview of upcoming releases hit #1 on Hype Machine’s twitter chart as anticipation has been building for his official debut release.
Slave to the Sweat is a mesh of electronic percussive elements, unconventional hover synth splicing, and a mechanized vocals conjuring up visions of sinful bodies packing a hot, sweaty dance floor. The single is off the upcoming EP KICK THE BASS, out Mar 27th on AFTERLIFE. Gosteffects serves up a witch’s brew of massive club anthems, dutchy tech house grooves, and big room kick drums ready for the floor.

The Slave to the Sweat single release will include a set of three additional remixes, 2 of which you may be familiar with from recent premieres through Electronic Beats and The Needle Drop.
Rule of Eight’s seemingly straight up complextro kicker heats up before it breaks apart into a destructive dubstep drop (click here). The Parisian duo of Housquare turned Slave To The Sweat into a work of Chicago inspired house music (listen here). Housquare update the classic sound, with a slightly tougher techno edge. Disrupt the Scene’s dark and devious synth hook weaves through the mix with a sexy orchestrated breakdown to truly make you sweat (and here).
Gosteffects’s resurrection of the 90s Techno classic “House of God” by DHS also made it’s way up to #5 on hypem’s popular list. His remix of Imogen Heap’s “Just for Now,” reached #1 on both Hype Machine’s popular and twitter charts. Gosteffects is already tearing up the clubs with early live dates at some of the premier electro parties in North America and Europe, such as Girls & Boys in New York, Blow Up in San Francisco, Robotic in OKC, SMOG LA, Control in LA, Disco Dust in Zurich Switzerland, Circo in Tijuana, and DNCFLR in Costa Rica.
